I think he loved Jesus and lived his life according to Gods word. What do you think might have led Joseph of Arimathaea to be a disciple of Jesus?

What about Jesus` death impressed the Centurian so much that He realized Jesus was the Son of God? The obvious answer would be the Earthquake, the Temple Veil being torn in two, the rocks splitting and the raising of the Saints from their tombs. I can't help but think the Centurion and those watching Jesus already beleived that Jesus was the Son of God. The person that gives Jesus a drink as he cries out for Elijah tells me that many of the people there already beleived in Jesus, but were waiting for that final sign from God to seal the deal if you will.
