"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God who has taken away the sin of the world came to this world.Therefore his suffering was inevitable.I think,according to John`s Gospel the last supper was before the passover,and in this next day of passover Jesus was crucified as the lamb of God.
