Jesus appears to have discouraged the scribe and the disciples because one preferred to ignore the order of the Jesus with the reason that he wanted to bury his father and the other wanted to trap the Jesus.

Why did Jesus seem to discourage the Scribe and the disciple from following Him? Didn`t He want these two to join Him? he wants to tell them clearly that to follow him and his path, a pure dedicated heart is required which is not surrounded by worldly and fleshy desire but only the spiritual spirit
