Why did Jesuspenalty for "sin"need to include physical and emotional pain-why not just spiritua lseparation from God?

As we know Jesus was born from the virjin Mary and He lived in this world as a human being,He had to suffer like a human being physically as well as emotionally.He is the only begotten son of God He had to separate spiritually from His Father for a few moment in the Cross.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

because jesus took all the sins of mankind over his physical body and the pain of others on himself so that the mankind may not bear any sort of spiritual separation from God our heavenly and lovable father.
