Why is this old man Simeon so excited to meet this baby Jesus? Simeon was a righteous man and he had the holy spirit in him,where by he was looking who was to save isreal.hence he was happy of Jesus's born.The fact that he was aware of what was going to happen, he was therefore, waiting to see him and then he was full of happiness .

Define Compassion compassion for me is feeling for somebody,anybody who are hurt, and doing any help for it, so that the suffering he/she is in become less.
