Body and spirit are two different aspects for every catholic christian. If you love your body alone there Christ is not with you.As he said that if your right eye is induced to do sin you plug it and cast it out from the rest of the body because in hell the whole body will get torment due to your sinful eye.

Due to our sin even though he is the son of GOD he took the offense on his body. That's reason he took the crucial Crucifixion on holy cross. As a normal human he accepted the pain and emotional feeling and torture of the Jews and his people.

This all had happened for we all can contact with GOD through Jesus foot steps and the commandment he taught us.

Now there is no gap between GOD and Human.
