Why do you think the Saducees did not know the Scriptures or the power of God? They were closed minded.....did not want to know or learn about scriptures ........but would like to cross question in the belief that Jesus would not have an answer .........for their questions & be shamed. They were sceptics........not beleiving in anything easily.
