What was the focus of this small groups` activity before the unusual events occurred?

I do not see any thing. Except that they just enjoyed being with Jesus and they fell off to sleep. What is the right answer?

What is Jesus trying to teach his disciples?

Jesus was trying to teach that HE has the power to cast out demons, heal the sick etc and He transferred that power to His disciples. He wanted them to know that the Good News must be preached
