Jesus loves SINNERS.

Jesus loves to have mercy on sinners, instead of judgement, nor hatred.

jesus calls every sinner for repentance, and assures forgiveness.

Why did Jesus choose Matthew, a known taxgatherer and a despised man, to be His disciple?

Tax collectors are considered to be sinners and unrightious people.But as we have learn from the lesson that Jesus came for the sinners to repent of their sins and to have eternal life.That is why Jesus Choosed Matthew to be His disciple.By seeing that Jesus takes the sinners all other sinners will have the guts to come to Jesus for salvation.

Why did Jesus first forgive the paralytic`s sins, and only later heal him? What lesson was he trying to communicate?

From this lesson we can learn that forgiveness from sin(spiritual healing) is more impotant than a physical healing.Because Jesus came into this world to save our soul and to meet our physical needs as well.That is why Jesus healed paralytic both physically and spiritually.
