How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.

If we've faith in God , if we've trust in god, he is just righteous and forgives our sin. Trust or faith increases our relationship with God and if we truly love God we develop close relation with him, and submit ourselves to him. God loves us all and that is why he forgives our sins. Therefore, we too have to love him .

Why did Jesus first forgive the paralytic`s sins, and only later heal him? What lesson was he trying to communicate?

Jesus was trying to communicate to the multitudes that He has power on earth to forgive sins.He forgave the paralytic's sins first and then healed him because He read his thoughts which were burdened with the thought that his disease was because of his sins.So He told him "son, cheer up!Your sins are forgiven you". and later told him to take up his mat and go to his house.
