Jesus, rebuked the disciples for being fearful. How should they have responsed to the storm?

The disciples should have believed in Jesus as He was with them. They should not have become fearful as fear can break faith.They should have remembered all the miracles he had done and strenghtened their faith.

Jesus, rebuked the disciples for being fearful. How should they have responsed to the storm?

Jesus rebuked the disciples for being fearful because it shows that they have no faith.Infact Jesus wanted them to just command the storm in the name of Jesus which would have proved that there is power in God's name and nothing is difficult for God.

Why did Jesus seem to discourage the Scribe and the disciple from following Him? Didn`t He want these two to join Him?

From the scripture we can see that Jesus didnot say that He didn't like them to follow Him. Infact He want them to carry their own cross and follow Jesus foot steps. Regarding the burial of the dead He mean that we don't need to bother for our physical body but we should be more concerned for our spiritual life.That is once our physical body is dead there is nothing left to worry about.
