Why did Jesus seem to discourage the Scribe and the disciple from following Him? Didn`t He want these two to join Him?

Jesus welcomed all who wanted to follow Him - infact he called many - but in the case of the Scribe and the disciple, I think he was testing their faith - were they willing to face the hardships that His followers had in store for themselves...He the Lord had no roof over His head - no place to call His own to lay His Head at the end of the day - He wanted them to know that they had to be prepared to face a lot of difficulties if they were to follow Him.

Since we have God`s promise of support, why do we still worry?

We still worry inspite of God's promises because we think about our loved ones who are not as strong and trusting as we are and we try to store earthly goods for them. We should realise that God loves them more than we do and can provide better for them than we can.

TREASURES IN HEAVEN " but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal" 20, Mathew.6 We are provided with our physique the main(the only?) purpose of which is Action. What is meant by the treasures for heaven? How to interpret the above sentence? What and where is heaven? I have my own interpretation.I want to get enlightened further. SOMAR, INDIA
