Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment? Jesus calls love as a new commandment, cause he knew there is nothing which cannot be conquered with love, be it ego, hatred, jeoulousy etc. Only if we love each other i.e not just the people we like but also our enemies, we become true desciples of Jesus. Our God himself is love, when we love him with our whole heart, we definately will be able to spread the love, just the way he wants us to.
