2432 entries for this category: Because we can give to poor even without a desire to please GOD. A heart that desire or long for GOD, to worship, praise and please him is what God looks. First priority to GOD, second others (friends, family, poor people etc) and then comes self. The reason I live is to worship him, to please him. In anticipation of what is ahead, Jesus experiences intense emotions, described as trouble, distress and exceeding sorrow. What final decision does Jesus make here in discussion with his "Abba Father" (daddy)? Jesus surrendered himself totally in the hand of his father, not his own will but the will of his father(God) be done.
