In addition to the 10 commandments that the Lord gave Moses to give to the people, He proclaimed `Love One Another` as a new commandment because this is the most important & above all other commandments. Even if we keep all the other commandments but we dont have love for our fellow beings in our heart, then we could never please the Lord.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him? a New commandment? Jesus commands us that if we truly love Him dearly, we should obey His commandments & please Him. We should fulfill these wishes not out of fear but out of our love for our Lord, just like we would do anything for those whom we love most dearly here on earth.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss? If I had the chance to meet Jesus face-to-face, I would ask Him to teach me all that I need to know to constantly seek His grace. I would ask Him how I could gain the strength to fight the temptations of satan without falling weak & thereby to die to sin & live in a state of heavenly peace.
