Before the Sanhedrin

The religious leaders gave false testimony against Jesus. However it was not agreed with each other. Then the High Priest asked Jesus ``Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?``. Jesus was the real Messiah, the people were expecting for years. But they did not recognise Jesus. For the charge, Jesus clearly stated that He is the Christ. It is also mentioned that you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of the sky. These words made the High Priest anger and Jesus determined guilty.

The Soldiers Mock Jesus

The Soldiers were mocked and humiliated Jesus in front of the people. But Jesus was not responded against them. Jesus is a good example of humility. He made Himself as a good model infront of the people, to whom He taught the word of God.

Peter Disowns Jesus

Peter was very much loved Jesus. At the same time, he was over-confident that he will not deny Jesus in any occasion. But Jesus, who is knowing everything, told Peter that you will deny me three times. When the situation came for the test, Peter failed, simply to escape from that situatin. Peter denied Jesus three times. The rooster crowed the second time, and Peter remembered the word, Jesus said to him. Peter realised that he had denied Jesus. Peter understood his inability and cried.
