Why do you think Peter denied knowing Jesus? Peter denied having known Jesus because of the following reasons : [1] Fear that they knew that he was a Galilean, and he spoke the same language as Jesus did; [2]He was seen with Jesus and therefore, he thought that he too will be condemned and interrogated along with Jesus.
