People often blame God for allowing suffering, but who does Jesus hold responsible for this woman`s suffering? It is Satan whom Jesus hold responsible for the crippled woman's suffering. But Jesus is so gracious that He used her suffering to create in her endurance and patience until she is healed, through faith, by God.

Jesus confirms that certain suffering is not linked to one`s behavior. What does Jesus warn about the suffering (punishment) that is linked to one`s behavior? Jesus wants us to repent for our sins so we will be saved. He wants us and is giving us the time to repent and change our ways and be better people and Christians like the fig tree in the parable.
