Jesus said love one another. How can one love another who is not easy to love or not worthy to be loved? And with this new commandment, we need to love one another despite of who and what the person is, how can we relate it to the readings in the Bible about "the wicked to be punished and the enemies to be destroyed"?

Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment? Jesus call "Love One Another" a new commandment because it was not included in the original 10 commandments handed down thru Moses. This is the new commandment and it was Jesus who personally gave us this commandment in His preachings when He became Man. Jesus Himself summed up the new commandment in the gospels of John and Matthew, that is to love God with all our heart, soul and mind and to love our neighbor as ourself.
