Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?

In a sense it was an old one(Lviticus 19:18) but for Christ disciples it was new. This was the mark of their brotherhood, created by Christ love for them. Our standard is Christ love for us. It presents a new standard because it is from Christ. The servantlike, selfless love we Christians should show to our brothers. To assist others when in need without second thoughts.

Jesus words are truth,a new way and a renewed mind to me. Having accepted his word I find myself in a desirous attitude searching more and more for the moment to dwell in His house.

How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.

Our God is a loving God whose love is immeasurable that He was willing to forgive our sins.

So, He sacrificed his precious son to such a horrid death to overcome our sins and start a righteous life for us.

Also, only He could forgive our sins and he could have deprived us but chose not to.

We are indebted to Him, and the only way to repay this is to love him and serve him.Whilst we may strife,struggle and face persecution, the final victory is ours because God will ensure we win.

God's forgiveness are cherishing moments that bless us with God's glory and so why not us glorify Him who created us.
