Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

Jesus pay our sin.We should be the one in Jesus place but with his love he paid for ous sin he experience hardship to give us an everlasting love.

Why did Jesus ask his followers to pray for laborers instead of praying for a greater harvest?

because as he said, the harvest are plentiful but the laborers are few. Jesus needs more people to spread the good news...

Jesus knows his fate yet Jesus still choose to experience all the pain and sacrifice to save us and to give us an everlasting life.
