Why is it evil to use oaths? Swearing and using the Lord and some other higher power and authority to authenticate your vows is evil because you as human and without the guidance of the Holy Spirit cannoot fulfill that vow.

Why is it Jesus speaks so strongly against divorce and remarriage? Jesus was against divorce and marriage because it is clearly written in the Bible that no one should be separated from his/her legal spouse since when they made a vow, it was as if the Lord himself married and blessed them.
