3657 entries for this category: Jesus blood is the new covenant that saves us from the wrath to come. long ago before Jesus died on the cross for our sins, the Jewish people marked their doors with the blood of lambs so that the plague of death would not come to them. praise God that now we are under God's Grace through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, that we dont needs the blood of lambs to cover up our sins but through faith in His name and his blood is always available to wash us completely from previous sins that we have done. May God bless us all amen What did Jesus imply by saying, "This is my blood of the new coveneant, which is poured out for many."? Consider that the Passover was a Jewish festival that remembered when a plague of death "passed over" the home of those Jewish people who marked their doors with blood from a lamb. Jews remembered this day with a feast of unleavened bread. Jesus implies that if you drink the blood of the new covenant, you will be saved from sin and that you received HIM as your personal savior and LORD.

Why does Jesus consider this woman`s desire to please Jesus more important than giving to the poor? Jesus said it was in preparation for His burial and it pleased Him more that the woman gave Him her most prized ointment. He was to be killed and this was the only time the woman could give Him her ointment. Jesus is saying to enjoy His presence more at this time before He is taken away is more important than giving to the poor.
