What actions of the scribes did Jesus warn against? Do we have people who act like this now?

Sad to say, yes, there are people of "God" who act like the masses or the common people were their footstool in current times. They are arrogant, have false airs and pretentious, demand the best of everything and parade themselves in fine clothing like peacocks.

Why does Jesus place commandments to actively love above commandments to refrain from evil (thou shall notÃ¢€Â¦)? Note: Jesus answered with two quotations from the Jewish law about loving God (Deuteronomy 6:4), and about loving neighbors (Leviticus 19:18).

BECAUSE LOVING GOD ABOVE ALL IS THE GREATEST LOVE WE CAN GIVE BACK TO OUR CREATOR. WE HAVE TO LOVE HIM WITH ALL OUR HEART, MIND AND SOUL. WE CANNOT LOVE ANOTHER PERSON IF WE DO NOT LEARN TO LOVE GOD. LOVING OUR NEIGHBOR IS SECOND BEC. WE HAVE EXPERIENCE THE LOVE OF GOD AND WE HAVE TO SHARE TO IT OTHERS. HOW CAN WE LOVE IF WE DONT HAVE SOMETHING TO GIVE----AND THE GREATEST IS LOVE.
