Why did Jesus answer their question with a question? Why didn`t he just say that his authority came from God? The question by the elders are only a testing for Christ if He really the messiah, even though, those questioning HIMÂ doesn't deserve an answer or a test if HIS answers were human reasoning or by a messiah.
