Why is religious hypocrisy so offensive to Jesus?

Jesus wants us to be religious in the true sense : believing, trusting and having faith in the Almighty and doing His will. The Pharisees are religious hypocrites in that they do not have the above qualities in their heart but have them for show only to other people. And this Jesus abhors because it is so contrary to everything He represents.

Why is religious hypocrisy so offensive to Jesus?

Absolutely, religious hypocrisy is so offensive to Jesus.Jesus taught everything to the disciples which he himself can do.Jesus simply lived what he preached. Unlike people who were claiming to be too religious, they teach others about God, about good work, and how to help others, yet, they themselves do not do what they teach. That's why in the Scripture, Jesus said that God is near to their mouths but far from their hearts. He was referring then to religious hypocrites - those who claim that they knew God and His commandments, yet, live outside what God wants them to do.

"According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?"

"To be loved by God" means we must follw the good words and constantly apply in our lives such as the commandments of God. Everyday we should give life to his words and not allow to die in our memory. These things must be do because we love Him.
