It involved the sorrow felt for other's suffering and misfortune, accompanied by the intense desire to help. It is a characteristic of God. (Dt.30:3 2Ki.13:23 Ps.78:38;111:4 In this present age of indifference to the physical and spiritual suffering of others, Jesus wants and expects this attitude to characterize his followers(Mtt.18:33;Lk.10:33) I really can't imagine that even Jesus is the son of God , during His life in Nazareth,He was then living as an ordinary person, wearing simple garment and sandals on His feet, and even going to school with other children in the place. It shows what Jesus wants us, to be humble always..... The only thing that surprises me, Mary and Joseph have other children!!Jesus has brothers and sisters? where are they??? Characteristic of a Disciple
