If He had come in on a carriage, with trumpets blaring, an entourage and crown on His head, it would be difficult to teach and show the people about humility, kindness and oneness with the poor and masses.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you? People circumtances during the time of Jesus and of the present times did not change much. Although new technology and level of society separates the past from the present the aspiration of people were / are still the same. If Jesus was not born 2000 years ago and is born today, HE will still be crucified.
