How is it that "desiring to do God`s will" results in a person knowing that Jesus` teaching comes from God? You will know that the teachings come from God if every deed we do, every desire to do God's will, every desire to be good and to do good, are all for the glory of God, all for the purpose of pleasing God and being worthy of HIs love and not for our own personal interest, fame and good.

What was there about Jesus` message caused so many of His disciples to turn away? This was a shocking message, to eat flesh and drink blood sounded cannibalistic. The idea of drinking of any blood, let alone human blood, was repugnant to the religious leaders because the law forbade it (Leviticus 17:10,11). Jesus was not talking about literal blood, of course. He was saying that his life had to become their own, but they could not accept this concept. The apostle Paul later used the body and blood imagery in talking about communion. (see 1 Cor 11:23-26).
