Why do you think Peter denied Jesus? Peter's denial could be due to the emotional pressure he was undergoing at the time of Jesus' arrest and a fear of being condemned along with Jesus. Peter's denial is also a warning to all who claim self-confidently that they would follow Jesus wherever He leads them. Boasting of our abilities should be an invention to our failure. If Peter with so much faith and Spirit could deny, we could also deny Jesus someday.
