What about this story disturbs or comforts you? This story disturbs only those who does not live in obedience to the Lord. This story tells that earthly riches and luxury does not necessarily mean that it is the love of God. The word of God and the prophetic messages given to us has an important role in rescuing us from spiritual death occured due to riches on earth. What comforts me is that, Those who are obedient to God and follows his commandments has nothing to worry about because he is storing riches in heaven for his future life in the paradise, where life is permanent.
