Define "Salvation" ? Note how Zachariah (the father of John the Baptist) praises God for fulfilling an old promise (oath/covenant) that "we...should serve him (God) without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life." Salvation means being free from the disasters of sin.

What was Mary feeling right before Jesus´ birth? Note: She is described here as an unwed pregnant woman, who was forced to travel away from her family, only to deliver her baby in a barn? Mary was deeply troubled at first and did not know what the angel ment. She wondered how she could be be pregnant and give birth when she was a virgin. Later on the angel comforted her saying that there was no need to be afraid because God has been gracious to her, she will give birth to a Son of the God Most High and he will make him a king just like his ancestor David.
