Why did Jesus choose to make His entry to Jerusalem in a humble manner, riding a donkey? Jesus chose to make His entry to Jesrusalem riding on the donkey so as to mark the official entry of Israel's King. He showed to the people of Israel that this king is not like the king of the earth. In fact, He was very humble at heart and came to serve the people rather than be served like other Kings. Second and foremost, what the prophet said had to come true.
