Why did Jesus first forgive the paralytic`s sins, and only later heal him? What lesson was he trying to communicate?

thats because most of the times we suffer due to our sins. When his sins were forgiven he was healed. He was trying to communicate that if we lead a sinless life, we can live free from illness that occurs due to sin.
