Why did Jesus? penalty for sin need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Because Jesus, in His great love for us, chose to take on Him not only the spiritual consequence of the sin, but also every kind of pain that we can feel as a result to sin ''because the pain it`s a direct sequel of the sin''.
