What was the focus of this small groups` activity before the unusual events occurred?
Inactivity we should say. They were in a fast asleep mode. What they saw in awakening? the two prophets after which they proposed to camp with them and Jesus. Sitting cosily atop the found hill of Jerusalem? But when the cloud overshadows them, like the cloud that had appeared to the Israelites appeared to Moses prior the handing of the Commandments and like the pillar of fire (Eliahs carried away on a chariot of fire), God's powerful voice says that Jesus is the Son of God promised by those prophets. Their disappearence claerly puts him in the focus that differentiates him from those who prophetised. He then tells them to listen and obey. Before they descend the hill again like Moses had done bringing the Commandments to the people. Follow him as the Israelistes had to follow Moses. Out of Egypt into freedom. Jesus taught them how to free humanity from the captivity of the souls. The experience kind of annoints them and shakes them into the full understanding of what Jesus taught them in parables.

How would most people around you answer, "Who is Jesus"?
Difficult to summurise as i am in touch with different people. The Moslem friends would say a prophet. All Catholics will say the Son of God our Saviour. Some friends in the clergy may reply depending on who is asking: i am all for all. There are three dear people, atheist, agnostic and the third I do not know to whom i shall ask and then report their replies.

By allowing twelve extra baskets of bread, what might have been Jesus` subtle message to the twelve tribes of Israel?
12 is on e for each tribe. Jesus multipled the 2 fish and 5 breads or viceversa. So that all may be fed. Asked the disciples to divide the crowds into groups of 50.  Then asks for the little they have and shares it among the multitudes. His Body is One and he offered each single tiniest drop to everyone and potentially so ad infinitum. Father braeking the hosts into smaller bits if necessary. Baskets are also for collection. is it also an invitation to all tribes, symbolically all though, to give to the disciples the little they can so that the Sacrifice of the Mass will be made possible in as many places as possible and so as to many people as possible?
