How is Jesus` way fresh or new compared to old religious practice or tradition? In the very geographical immediacy, the Jewis religion, new meant deep down renewal of the wineskin, us humans, ready to take in the Word. So for the Jewish, in which he grew up respecting the Law, its not only external obedince legalistic and ritualistic observance. To others, as it spread, it brought, and brings new meanings. See what is happening with the Hindu now and all the hatred. Not randomish reincarnation for past failures in craetures below the human line in the animal kingdom, we are animals too but with a special extra a soul that makes us human cause its the vessel of the divine. Into which Jesus poured and pours himself everytime we partake of the Eucharist of His Sacrfice. We know, original fall, what is right and waht is wrong. We do not act on blind instinct. We can therefore keep that Vessel which is us clean. Always remaining humans. Always stretching our hand to the diving open ready to partake of what will bring us one step closer. never there till we leave our mortal spoils and join the Communion of Saints, but knowing that we can. It is up to us to grab Jesus hand. In which other religion is man (woman) promised a seat in Heaven? contemplaiting the Lord in the lightness of his her soul at the same time encouraged to celebrtae and partake of this life till its last drop, ready to rejoice in another Feast?some are called to pour that blood in martyrdom in a mission like Jesus did to testify and spraed that Word. But its never an act that one is asked to perpretrate to cause the death of others with the promise of that eartly paradise that on earth is denied. Why are the kamikaze always enrolled from the poorest and kept in brainwashing learn all the Quran unquestioningly 'prisons' and not from the rich? why a convert to Christianity is sentenced to death and not prayed for and talked to as with those who walk away or are feel attracted to Jesus? he came to call the sick and poor in spirits friends. And take the untouchable by the hand. Literally too.
