How does Simon Peter feel about himself, and how does Jesus change that?

Peter needed Hope and Jesus fed him Hope. By getting him to trust himslef again via rooting him in the Lord, but cheekily did not say so. He aid cast your nets again.YOU can do it not because I Jesus have annointd you. This he will say later when entrusting him the sheep and chhallenging to give him all his commitment.

Why didn`t Jesus spend more time healing people?

He was to build His Church on his wounds and build it on the pillars of Faith, Hope, and Charity. Looking on at the New Jerusalem, the healing of the souls snared by the evil one being more important and not the instant healing of the physical ailments.Each and single one healed, and there would have been for them no ground for understanding the "take up your cross and follow me".he wanted people to hunger for the healing coming from the shedding of His Precious Blood and for them to eagerly follow those on whom he would have annointed to bring healing to all the corners off the earth with the last breath of life and the first Breath of Life.
