he believe that Jesus can heal his son as well as his disciples but they could not, then the unbelief .for him to erase the unbelief he sent his son to Jesus was dissapointed why his disciples could not do it.

my lesson from this is ,if we went to recieve power for his works as he said is by fasting and prayer which can makes strong .

Its a  bizzarre reaction. They are afraid, dumb struck, and yet Peter makes a concrete proposal the building of the tent and remembers Elyah being taken away and imagines his coming back. Trnsfigured into a Spirit. Hard to imagine that before that descent of the Holy Spirit like a white dove Jesus needed to pass through the cross. Had i been Mary Magdalene I would have been reassured - after the pain of the thought of the blood poured at the cross...but as a disciple who refused to believe in that death (modern psychitrist would have a specific term), I would have been equally dumbfounded by this blinding whiteness.
