The new must be saperated from the old for you to know the beauty of the new. when the master is taken away from them what they have never than be4 they will do what they suppose to do. When religious leaders accused Jesus of working on the day of rest (Jesus), why did Jesus get so angry?

When asked about a religious practice (fasting), why does Jesus describe how old and new may not be compatible? In the past Jews fasted from food on certain days to remember the exile and the hardships in the desert journey, I imagine, and as thankfulness to God Who accompanied them in such sacrifice.Now the fasting is from the Real Body of Christ. Till the following occasion and in the meantime we need to fast from worldiness to make ourselves worthy to receive Him in that temple that is a renewed us. Before Communion we kneel at the foot of the cross, aknowledge Jesus immense sacrifice and our weakness and unworthiness (remember the centurion words?) and ask to make us worth to recieve the reurned Bridegroom.
