Widows were the most vulnerable people in the society of the time without a husband to defend them and Jesus is telling the disciples to look after her as she is on her own. But for them. Behold she is your mother. Like when Jesus left his mother to us his disciples. And the widow is like Mary a most faithful disciple.

Why did Jesus notice the widow`s gift and tell his disciples? the bible says God love a cheriful giver .God notice her because ,the woman gave everything she had.what she depend on ,her last resourse out of it she give all.in another development she was a widower .

Answer for yourself "Whose Son Is the Christ?" Biologically geneticall Jesus is the Son of David, the descendance down to Mary. He brings their genes. But he is the Holy Spirit made flesh do he is the Son of God.Thats why David calls him Lord.
