984 entries for this category: Lies hussle and bustle quickly fades away as soon as it bubbles up to the surface with its contradictions. Truth slowly and powerfully rises and nails the Annointed one to that cross he has already mightily and confidently picked up in his heart. Only the true Son of God as foreshadowed in the OT can pick of the bright torch of Light. His infinite love setting that cross in flames so that all may be purified and made worth of raisng like incense to Heaven. In anticipation of what is ahead, Jesus experiences intense emotions, described as trouble, distress and exceeding sorrow. What final decision does Jesus make here in discussion with his "Abba Father" (daddy)? Not his Jesus but the Father will be done. Never struck me so much till nwo: Jesus saying plainly simply honestly remove this cup from me. And from that aknowledgement he drinks the strenght to carry on. Never seen Jesus so weak and frail...and yet the very reality of the sure cross, the disciples snooze in non believing self blinding reassuredeness, gives power to his knees. And he has not taken up the phsyical cross and Calvary steps yet.

What do you think Jesus was feeling at the point of his arrest? I feel fear gripped his sinews very slow and he froze for a moment but then his spirit, the Spirit of the Father, gave him that firmness with which he addresses the ones who came to arrest him. Now..not in the temple before but when the prophecies they called that to happen. Whne they called them to to do their parts in the redeeming sacrifice.They rae scared now and flee minus one man. The young man following Jesus gets almost arrested but he makes it leasving only the linen, a prefiguration of Jesus dying on the cross completely naked and powerless. No way he was even willing to try and hide a weapon. A total victorious surrender.
