PLEASE WASH YOUR SOULS BEFORE SITTING AT THE MASTER'S TABLE with arrows pointing to confessionals In the middle of extreme busyness, Jesus departed to a mountain to pray. What do you learn from Jesus` example? That we must stop rowing like mad in the midst of our innere tempests and start praying sitting on the top of our souls. Only then we shallbe able to see Jesus passing by: he wil not tap on our shoulders. Not immediately anyway and we are to call with faith upon our cheeky master, who in this way has us totally hooked. Knowing that he will always be waiting a little ahead looking at us with the corner of his smiling (rolleyes?) eyes.

Jesus did not want to do miracles outside of Israel, yet the woman`s faith and persistence led to healing. What do you learn from this? Seems strange as the saviour came for all. But wha he is doing is to challenge both both those outside and inside Israel. How comes that so many Israelites, high priests in particular, get dragged down by the letter of the law and fail to see the miracolousness of Jesus deeds, whereas a syrophenicean woman who heard - kept her ears open - has so much instinctive trust in this man who appears on her doorstep for the first time? the Holy Spirit told her and everytime someone recognises hi, its like a renewal of the visitation to Elisabeth: John, that seed word that announced Jesus, leaps in people's hearts when the Master is near. And the Master cannot escape ;)
