Why did Jesus allow Judas to betray Him, when He clearly knew Judas` evil intention?

Without Judas betrayal, the prophesies would have not been accomplished. He could have saved himself, but not humanity and would have not followed the Father's will, also allowing for the salvation of Judas, who in despair killed himself (despertation the contrition that saved him?). Fully human imbued with free will, he left Judas to free to excercise that gift of God. Whatver the cost.

Why did Jesus wash the disciples` feet when Judas was present, rather than watiing until that betrayer had left?

Salvation is a gate open for all and there is hope for everyone. He would have otherwise sent a negative untrue message.Also, he was showing all his human vulnerability and had he sent out Judas immediately, the others would have known who the betrayers was. That would have not truly tested with fire their faithfulness. It also shows Jesus humility to the full. Washing not only, but first of all, the feet of those who sinnining had the greatest need to be cleansed before enterring heaven. Washing feet was the task assigned at the time to the lowest of the lowest of the servants. Jesus came to serve not to be served, To be the Gate of the Father's House entering through which we are called to be cleansed. And the Master Himself was appointed to kneeling and cleansing our feet souls.

Why are Jesus` followers called "children of light"?

Children of Truth that make us anew? If we die with Jesus we resurrect with him and are baptised in his spirit.
