How does one, in our current day eat the flesh of Jesus and drink His blood?

this day we eat the bread and drink the blood of Jesus in a sinful manner ,without even asking for forgiveness of sin.others to eat the bread to sactisfy thier stomach.we eat the bread in an unlawful way ,without even not thinking of the bad effect and what the bible say,s about it.we must say ,we eat for eating seek without any expectation from God.

How does one, in our current day eat the flesh of Jesus and drink His blood?

Partaking of the Eucharist in the Mass when the hands of the priests transform that Bread and Wine into His Blood and Body via the descending of the Holy Spirit. It is not merely a question of different definitions - transusbtansiation etc etc - but of the essence of the promise of Jesus at the Last Supper. Like the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples gathered with Mary at Pentecost after His Resurrection. A new phase of Advent for the birth of the Church, a pregnancy if you like. Like the Holy Spirit had descended on Mary and impregnated a human womb so that God, and only God, could incarnate himself. Take her flesh. Be nurtured by her womb.Emerge like a tiny baby from that womb like he as an adult did from the tombston with his body. To give us all a 'rebirth' and cleanse us from our sins. To then entrust us so that we can be nurtured by Mother Church. Only God could do that. Jesus was not just a man, but the one who incarnated the promises of the OT. All of them. The one who, having done the will of the Father to the death on the cross for love of us, could ask us to enact that Supreme Law of Love that calls us to obediance to his Commandments. I did not come to cancel the old law but to fullfill it. Bringing forgiveness to our failings and falls in carrying that cross that we promised to carry when we said: Jesus i trust in you. What trust would it be if we did not follow in his foosteps? who are my disciples? my family? those who listen and take my word in. To whom I gave the opposrtunity to partake of my sacrifice. If it was not his real Body and Blood, as testified and transubstantiated by those who were annointed by him via Apostolic Succession,why should we believe in him more than Mohammed? he is the Son of God incarnated as the Resurrection proved. Only the Son of God God incarnated could take a human abode and resurrect with it.Fully God. And fully human obedient to the Laws till the last comma, the last drop of blood that sealed the Covenant.

What lessons did the disciples learn as a result of encountering Jesus in the middle of the lake?

That no matter what stage in life you are at, if you seek Jesus you find him, whenevere, cause he has always been there with you. Though you may not have known it. When you get the invitation to seek him and call his name.
