30 entries for this category: We can be glad, once we are reminded that the acquisition of virtue is the work of a lifetime and that God does not grant any instant cure to human weakness. It seems that God keeps giving us the grace to try again inspite of past failures. Perfect love and strength are not to be attained by any merely human efforts. So we can be glad, because we recognize how little our souls are in front of the almighty God, but He loves us individually and takes interest to be our Father. After each failure, it's His grace that makes us to ask for forgiveness, pick ourselves up and try again. Very often, what God helps us toward is not the virtue itself, but just this power of trying again! Why can we be glad when we are weak and suffering difficult circumstances?
