1144 entries for this category: I think He had to suffer separation from God physically as well as emotionally to show that the sins He died for were physical and emotional. Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? When we look at Adam and Eve, they were to live forever in the Garden. However, after they sinned, it brought death into their bodies. Yet, this cancerous black death was still taking force, and the early descendants of Adam lived for quite a long time. But then after that, you see his descendants living for a shorter and shorter time.

How can we experience the peace Jesus promised when we are in difficult circumstances? The Holy Spitit is God amongst us that is why Jesus said it would be a short while whe we would not see Him then see Him again. God the Father, Jesus (the sun) and the Holy Spirit are one. Jesus had to leave for the Holy Spirit to come down.
