In order to show obedience to Him, you must be willing to show intimacy to Him. In showing intimacy you have to lay down all facades of yourself. You must strip yourself of the act that you put in front of others and be real with God. You have to show humility by putting Jesus first, others second, and yourself last.

As we grow in obedience to God's Word and strive to live daily in accordance to His Will we will grow to have that itimate relationship with Him and become more like Him if you don't really become acquainted with another person you can never really know them when we mature and fall in love it is because of the relationship we have built with another person it is the same with Jesus we must really know Him, have him in our lives, talk with Him, Walk with Him, communicate with Him on a daily basis We must have true honesty with Him, confess our faults, ask for help, He already know's our failures, our very being so just be honest in your relationship with Him and ask Him to help you and to grow closer to you despire all of your failures and faults.
