Why do Jesus`s enemies keep demanding a sign? Why doesn`t Jesus do a miracle for them?
He says and evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign and there will be sign given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah and departs.

Why did Jesus repeat this miracle, here feeding the 4000, after previously feeding the 5000?
The crowd of 4000 had been with Jesus for three days.  He had preached and  had healed all types of injuries and mental problems and all the people had been faithful to stay with him, without food.  Jesus told the disciples he did not want the people to go away without eating as many of them would faint before they could get something to eat.  He again took a few loaves of bread and several small fish, blessed them and had the disciples give the food to the people.  When everyone had eaten, there was food left over and then Jesus sent the crowds away.
