Dear Friends,

In the story of the young ruler; the issue is not money. The Issue is the method of getting salvation. It is clear the young Ruler had an emptiness within him self that was not satisfied by the theological nuance of that time: that wealth was a sign of being in favor of God.

He wanted some thing more. See how he claims to have kept the Law. See how Jesus ask him to prove that he kept the Law (Here many bible student get it wrong). Jesus told him to give all he had to make the poor in his society rich. 

In essence Jesus was asking him to become poor so that the poor can become rich. In fact he was telling him, that keeping the law perfectly calls for self emptying and giving all. This is the Agape love of God which made Jesus give up all that mankind may given the crown of life. He gave up his Zoe life in exchange for our Bios life.

In conclusion, the young man claimed to have done the impossible possibility, and Jesus taught him the way it is done.

Notice that Jesus does not do any thing to bring back they young ruler, he let him go sad!!
